a note to the traveller

dear traveller,

i write this note to you so you know that missives may reach you regardless of whom you do not know, regardless of who you are not.

i write so you know that your plain-water life is not really boiled water, but really spring water from the skies.

you may feel that you are on a dead-end cycle, and perhaps you really are in one - but know, traveller, that there is a point to all of this. i hope you're not too worn out just yet.

do you know what you are walking towards?

i hope you do, cause i think it's rather exciting. you're meant to be a star, did you know that? i didn't neither, till i finally worked out why the birds sang and why the sun shone, every day.

do you hear it? every day. it's for you.

did you think the wind whispered through the trees for nothing?

...i'll tell you what you're not. you're not ordinary. you're not run-of-the-mill. do you know that you're wonderfully and fearfully made?

do you know who you really are?


if you ever saw movies, tales of deceived scions of faraway kings who were kidnapped and hoodwinked into believing they're stable boys - if you knew the story of The Sword in The Stone, king arthur and excalibur -

you would've wept if you knew. you're that king. or queen. you just don't know it yet, but i'm telling you now.


...do you know you're the twinkle in His eyes? you have Him smiling silly at the thought of you.

you're a star, because you were made one. thus put the thought of despair far from you dear traveller, and take heart.

you are not meant to focus on who you're not, and where you weren't. you're to know and acknowledge those, but find out truly just who you are, and what on earth are you here for.

lift your eyes and know Who loves you, and walk the path that stars are meant to take -


and shine. because that's what stars do.
