something spectacular happened this morning - i met an egg. the egg from my fridge. i never knew it existed till i saw it today and boy was my life changed.
i've never met a more gorgeous egg in my life - it was an ice-cold princess, lightly speckled like sun-kissed cheeks, so cool to my touch when i took it from the fridge that i was enchanted.
she drew me a picture when i laid her in the pan, the darling, and looked very much like a bride when i sprinkled black pepper like rice on her on a wedding day. then i anointed her with salt.
the accompanying sugared butter toast faded into the background when i had her, like a ravenous man and his oyster, precisely like a woman and her egg.
thus i fell in love, today. i shall fall in love again, tomorrow. with toascht. french. toascht.
thus verily i say unto you - it is not a matter of where you are to discover the joys of a place, but who you become to revel in the joys around you.
